Hope everyone had a Happy Easter!  The recipe below is the easiest way I've come across for a perfect turkey!  We used it again today and I've used the concept to roast 2 small chickens at once and use/freeze the meat for various recipes!

The recipe with photos can be found here or it's elsewhere online with a google search:

I love turkey and eat it often. This method would take to long for me but its interesting. Most people overcook the birds resulting in dry white meat. Bake covered 20 minutes per pound in a 350 degree oven for a defrosted turkey and 10 to 15 minutes per pound for fresh. Uncover 45 minutes prior to the end of cooking time to crisp the skin. Very simple :)

Hi, Sunshine! :)

I like this recipe.

I have an electric stove with an oven shut-off timer.
Just preheat, set the shut-off time, time load the bird, and go about the rest of my day.

I'm definitely going to try this soon!
I love roasted turkey! :) :) :)

Set the time after the oven has fully preheated and you should be good!  Try doing a couple chickens at a time too.  We haven't tried it on the grill (using indirect heat) but it's on our to-do list.  Iim obsessed with crispy skin so if anything looks soggy to me I just broil it often after peeling it away from the meat since hubby could care less.

Our kitties get a little turkey too and hubby loves turkey salad with a few sliced almonds or celery. And anything else I preportion and freeze.  Cheesy turkey & broccoli casserole is one we usually make right away.
