week 2
« on: July 07, 2012, 05:58:25 PM »
Hello All,
I have accomplished week two but am slightly disappointed at the fact I have only lost 1lbs this whole week. I know being a nurse that everyone's body reacts differently but is there an average amount that everyone loses or does it truly vary. The only thing that i can think of is that my boyfriend and I went hiking yesterday  ( yes in the 99 degree weather here in Jersey) and we drank a ton of water and needless to say burned alot of calories and used alot of muscles that have NOT been used in a LONG time. Knowing how the body works I know my muscles are "screaming right Now" and I am hoping just holding on to water because they are inflamed from being overworked yesterday. Any thoughts on this.

p.s. how do i get my pic on here?

p.p.s. how do i make a ticker for my weight loss ?

I am reading faithfully behind the scenes what everyone writes despite not writing much back to anyone, I am trying to take this all in and remain successful. ( fingers crossed)

Doug will address the photo and ticker issues :) Take your measurements. Take control. Ask yourself how do I feel? After two weeks your energy level should be through the roof and you should feel great! Sometimes in the beginning people miss hidden carbs like splenda or condiments. You can post your meal plans, everything that passes your lips and we can review them for you.Do not get discouraged, you can do this and we are gonna help you.Its science ,it will work  ;)

thanks Umpa! Where should I post my meal plans so everyone can help me out. What I do know is i have been counting 1 pack of splenda as 1 net carb and 1 cup of coffee as 1 net carb. otherwise i have not used many condiments . thanks again for getting back to me : )

Congratulations on the one pound lost!  Every pound is worth celebrating, even if it is all alone this week!

One pound lost is still a big thing to celebrate.  Also remember that the amount of water that you drink reflects on the scale lol

Welcome to the FTS family, Jay!!! :) :) :) :) :) :)

You are correct.
The amount of water we drink does reflect in the scale number... It makes it smaller! 8)

Drinking lots and lots of plain ice cold water will speed up progress.
Water flushes out toxins and weight loss byproducts too.

So drink 64 to 80+ oz. of it every day!
Your body will thank you in many ways. :)
