Sardines
« on: July 11, 2013, 04:27:48 PM »
I have always loved sardines and find the quality of them has declined in the stores.  I tried some Look's Atlantic Premium Sardines  Fillets in Cracked Pepper today and absolutely loved them.  I purchased them at Big Lots and bought the last three tins of them that they had.  Maybe there are some suggestions as to really good sardines on the market today.

Hi, skychant! :)

I find most of the brands from the Netherlands (Norway, Sweden, etc.) are VERY good!
Sardines from very cold water are much better! ;)

I am not fortunate enough to have that selection where I shop.  Maybe I should look online.  Thank you.

I LOVE Sardines :) Easy quick low carb high protein meal in a can small enough to fit in your back pocket. Perfect for a hike in the woods, fishing trip (that's kinda funny) or just to have an afternoon snack. Here's one of my fav's

Place your fav sardines(I like hot sauce) on a GG Brancrisp bread, top with a slice of onion, salt pepper and eat.....YUMM  8)

That's funny, Doug! :D :D :D :D

I've taken sardines on fishing trips and thought about eating fish from a can while fishing for them.
A weird form of irony, I'd say! ;)
