Rao's Homemade Pizza Sauce
« on: April 29, 2013, 12:36:46 PM »
Cruising the supermarket aisles for the lowest carb pizza or tomato sauce, I happened upon Rao's Homemade All Natural Pizza Sauce. It has  just 2 net carbs per 1/3 cup! So, 6 net carbs per cup, which is half of what plain tomato sauce is (at least Hunts brand). The pizza sauce contains Italian plum and cherry tomatoes, olive oil, celery, carrot, and spices.

Had it on pizza and have to say, definitely have to give it 2 thumbs up!

I agree, it is great.  But at the Walmart near me it is over $7.00 per jar.  Too expensive for my blood.

I was going to say that myself...Haha  it is very good though.  I found some on sale and I had a coupon to reduce it even more....I bought up all of what they had....Ha!!  Too bad it's all gone now   :'(  If I find another sale....I'm all over it  ;D ;D

Oh I'm glad you guys have tried it! I wasn't sure since the grocery store I shop at is not a national chain and they sometimes have odd brands. It was $5.29, I believe. Yeah, little pricey for that little jar, but I did like the All-Natiral aspect of it.

Umpa - Yes, this last time I did 1/2 of the pizza with Alfredo and 1/2 with Rao's, so it was like having 2 pizzas...
