Thanks, Shawn! :) :) :)

Any prepackaged or processed foods, including nuts, can be a source of "carb creep".

I've noticed Maltodextrin on the Blue Diamond Smokehouse Almonds (my favorites).
But since it was the 4th ingredient on the ingredients list, it did not bother me too much.

Even though the the net carbs are low, just a little bit of sugar (or a substitute
like maltodextrin) can cause cravings, artificial hunger pangs, and slow down progress.

So if anyone out there is eating prepackaged nuts and experiencing issues,
this may be something to pull out of the daily meal plans to see what happens.

I for one, will be eating them a little less frequently,  ;)

That's right Tony   ;D   I just wanted everyone to be aware.   I season my own nuts now.  Even if I buy them already roasted for convenience, I can bring them home and season them myself and I know what is in them  :)

Hi, Umpa! :)

I use Pam cooking spray (butter flavor).

Here's a great recipe Shawn posted last November for Sweet Spiced Pecans.
They are spicy and not too sweet, and REALLY good!!! ;D ;D ;D

That is my favorite recipe Tony...Yummmmm  ;D ;D

Umpa butter or coconut oil seems to do the trick for me.  Spraying them like Tony suggested would work too.  I have seen recipes that call for tossing them in a egg white wash before the spices.  I haven't tried that though.  It hasn't been an issue of sticking for me.  I just give the container a shake before I get a serving out.  The oil you use gives it something to grab onto  ;)
