Nutella?!

Mmm...I'm thinking a nutella-like substance would be pretty awesome on GG Crispbreads! Nutty, creamy, chocolaty and sweet. Thoughts, Umpa?  ;D

I love flavored peanut butters. You could very easily melt unsweetened bakers chocolate and some Zero till desired sweetness and mix with peanut butter. ;)

This is a recipe I have but haven't tried it yet -
Sugar-free Nutella

1 cup hazelnuts
125ml coconut milk
80ml rice malt syrup ( substitute zero)
1 tablespoon macadamia oil or coconut oil
1/4 cup raw cocao powder
1 tablespoon  vanilla powder

Preheat oven to 180oC
Bake hazelnuts 8-10 mins till browned - rub off skins
Grind nuts till smooth
Add rest ingredients, mix till smooth
Add extra coconut milk if a more sauce-like consistency required
Store in fridge several weeks

How are you skinning them Umpa?  If you put them in boiling water with some baking soda for a few minutes.  Then rinse, they should slip right off  ;) ;)   I couldn't remember where I read it but here is a great example of how they did it.  http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/504535

This recipe was a complete failure! It tasted like stale brownie mix. Added a cup of milk and still couldnt get the right consistency.I think if I had to do it over again I would use hazelnut flour/meal. That way you could get the consistency you want.First I tried to get the skins off in the oven Toosweet then I used the baling soda and boiling water. ;)

oh no  :'(  how disappointing.

Was going to have a try and planned on using hazelnut meal as I have half a bag leftover from a previous recipe.
Will give it a go and let you know.

Hi, Mare! :)

One the right side of your screen, you should see a large bottle of Zero.
Just click over there, scroll down to it, and order away! ;)
