« on: July 05, 2014, 12:07:22 PM »
Hello all

Well just here thinking of buying either a row machine or stationary bike..... I know I should get to the high school track and start walking... What has helped you with your weight loss?

Joe

Dec 2005- Lapband - 323 lbs... Got down to 267 lbs... Over the years regained weight.

Hi, Joe! :)

Before FTS, I was a couch potato's, potato. :D
Since FTS, I quit smoking and took up exercise.

It seems the vast majority of machines bought become expensive clothes hangers.
You could buy a machine, but as long as you are ambulatory, walking is a good choice.
Swimming is also excellent.

Every morning (in the Summer before sunrise), I get out and take a brisk 5-mile walk.
I started with a 1/2 mile, then 1 mile, then 2, until I got up to 5.

When I miss that walk, my day is no where near as good. I just feel a bit listless.
FTS makes us feel great. And when combined with exercise, we'll feel FANTASTIC! ;D

I agree with Tony! Buy yourself some good walking shoes and get stepping. When the weather is too hot I know people that walk at the mall in the air conditioning. 8)
