Read the Label Yourself
« on: January 28, 2015, 06:48:02 AM »
A lesson learned.  Went and visited a friend who had moved. She had bought a box of weight watchers eclairs for morning tea, she knows I'm on fts and read the label on the  box saying - blah blah blah works out at just under 6 carbs per eclair. Quite a hefty price for such small item. I just didn't feel like one at all so gave it a miss.  We were out all day and returned back there for a drink before heading home (1hr drive). I did quick calculation of my carbs for day -approx 4 and about 4 due for dinner when I got home.  I gave into the temptation. My first bite told me something was not quite 'kosher' here. 3 bites and it was gone. I got the box out of the bin - 11.4c/serving.  I don't know how my friend worked out the carbs - she got the serving size wrong.  Hope it wasn't intentional.
Should  have just read the box myself, but thought just a bit rude to go through her bin.
oh well.....just as well hadn't used to many carbs earlier in day.
