Hi Steve, I'm in Canada too and am a newbie as well.
Still have my training wheels on, but am so up for the challenge.
All the best to us both eh?

Steve, I think it is most important to focus on making the way of eating changes and not so much on the weight loss.  That will come as you are learning the new healthier habits.  The cravings really go away pretty quickly and this is the BEST group for learning how to replace things you miss with better choices.  :)

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Romans 12:2

Here I am at the end of week 3, down 3 pounds to 296!!  So glad to see the scales moving again. I am going out for a walk in celebration. :)
