I think I'm getting the hang of this because I was watching Dr. Oz and he was going over an eating plan for heart disease prevention that is 70% carbohydrates and I kept thinking to myself, that's sugar, more sugar and more sugar and that's going to convert to fat. The eating plan went something like this...
Oatmeal with dried fruit for breakfast
Mid morning snack.. bananas and a granola bar
Salad with chickpeas and low-fat raspberry vinagrette for lunch
Dinner was chicken, veggies, 1/2 cup brown rice, a whole grain bun
Evening snack was veggies and hummus.
First of all, I would be BORED beyond belief eating this, second I would be hungry and third wouldn't all the starches convert to sugar. The woman presenting the eating plan lost 80 lbs this way and Dr. Oz was going on about how great a plan it is.
I don't get it!
