WHAT THE? I PUT ON A POUND?.......GRRRRRR

Ok, today was weigh in day and as I posted earlier this week, the battery in my scale is dying, but I have PUT ON 1 POUND!

OMG I am shattered!

I know you're all going to say......."did you sneak in carbs anywhere", etc. etc. but I have been religiously taking note of everything I eat, even over-estimating most of the time.

I have been walking every day on my newly purchased treadmill, maybe that's it, but seriously I am soooooo unhappy and frustrated.

Back to the drawing board, I will watch my portion control closer, will put down that bottle of whisky when it calls me at night for a drink with diet soda and WILL NOT weigh myself for another couple of weeks.

Hi Linda, I want to add one more thing to your already self diagnosed thought process which is right on by the way....what I want to add is to be patient and simply stay the course. Your body will respond in it's own time as long as you stick to the rules.

Congratulations for being a gutsy girl...I'm proud of you!

Thanks Doug, I'm trying not to obsess over it, but you have to admit this is a SERIOUS change in lifestyle for us when we start out and when I read things like yesterday's post

I lost 35 lbs and my wife lost 17 lbs in 3 weeks

well, its hard not to lose focus.

So, the nightly drink or two should go, correct?  AND even though my plate had about 4 slices of beef, a blob of cauli mash (unmeasured!), and some zucchini and some broccoli, I probably should be more careful about the portions?  I just get even more frustrated by measuring stuff out and ending up with cold food!
Ok, I'm done complaining.
That son of a (*$)%) scale is NOT getting a new battery for two weeks and I'm going to be on that damn treadmill EVERY morning because I actually LIKE it!
Linda  (PS thanks for your words of encouragement), I know I should just suck if up, but I know I'm not alone feeling like this.

NO you are not SISTA ,it is hard to see people loose alot , I am happy for them but it does make it hard . Lucky for me I fell better.That is what will keep me low carbing . And staying off that FREAKING  scale ! I am not weighing again until AUG 30

Yes, first to go for me would be the booze....alcohol will burn as fuel transformed into a triglyceride before stored fat. As far as portion control try the "half a dat" method. Make your regular size plate then take half the food off and put it on another plate. Eat plate #1, wait 15 minutes and if you're still hungry pick slowly at plate #2....works every time to get truly satisfying portions in order.

 ;D cannabis  :P...... just kidding:) >>>>>>>>>> like doug said we are all different:( some of us are bigger"LOSERS" than others....try walking on the treadmill after you eat all your food for the day....and try to eat your carbs earlier in the day & make your later meal 0 carbs:)

Easier said than done Gary, I don't want to walk after work, I work really long hours and my husband works shift work.  I pretty much have to do it first thing in the morning.
