The biggest difference with FTS is education.  The book explains why this way of eating is so important for a lifetime of health in a way that is very easy for almost anyone to comprehend.  You truly begin to look at certain foods as poison for your body and they lose their appeal.

I think that right there says it all ...

Also ... Im a Leo ... I hate being told what to do ... which essentially every single diet out there they do ... Doug has a way of explaining it and then saying listen ... do it or dont ... but you dont you will get fat ... so heres how to calculate how not to be fat

... I like that Im figuring this out on my own ... making my own choices on my own terms ... but the guideline is just there ... this definitely is a lifestyle changer vs a diet

DIETS ARE DEPRESSING AND DISAPPOINTING  :(

niki, if you can find them, the Emerald Cocoa Roast Almonds are a great cookie replacement.  And they are Doug-approved ;D They are just sweet enough, just chocolatey enough and just crunchy enough.  They come in plastic containers and single serving packs.  Caution, easy to eat too many so watch serving size!

I find that the One Minute Muffin recipe does the trick for me, whether I have it as a muffin, pancakes or bread.  There are so many variations that you can pretty well flavour it to suit whatever crave you are having.

Alex, i know the feeling with the kids, mine are 15 and 6 almost 7. It is hard to get them to eat new foods. However, take baby steps and introduce new foods one at a time and they will eventually adapt to the new foods and even like them. ;D ;D ;D
