This looks great!!  I'll keep this in mind for Christmas baking time.  I said I wasn't doing any baking this year at Christmas because I thought I couldn't have anything.  Well this is wonderful to have FTS friendly recipes so now I don't have to go without.  Thanks Umpa!!

Hi Umpa,

This looks yummy but there are two ingredients that aren't very clear in the "chocolate chip" recipe;

2 squares
1/4 xylitol

Thanks!

Umpa, you are my hero!!!!!!!  These look so much like the real thing I can't even believe it!  I can't wait to make them.

OK one last question...have you ever made graham cracker crust from scratch as opposed to using Dixie Diner?  For these bars, it's definitely important that the crust taste graham-y so if Dixie Diner is the best then I'll definitely go with that.  Just curious for this and other recipes!

wow can't wait to make these....but....is there anything I can use to substitute the Dixie grahams so I don't have to order?  I need to put an order in soon but it would be great if I could get something from the store and not have to pay shipping.
Peace and blessings,

IzzeT

According to Dixie Diner, here's the ingredients in their Graham Cracker Pie Crust:

Pecans, almonds, soy flour, soluble vegetable fiber, flax seeds, soy lecithin, low glycemic index monosacharide, low glycemic index fruit concentrate.

So I might give it a try making my own "graham cracker crust" using ground up pecans, almond flour, flax meal and some vanilla extract or something.

Graham Cracker Crust Alternative (same carb count as Dixie Diner so doesn't change the 1.5g per bar)

Ingredients
2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted      0g carbs
3/4 cup almond flour            6g carbs
1/2 cup ground pecans                 4g carbs
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon                 0g carbs
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract      0g carbs
2 tablespoons xylitol            0g carbs
1/8 teaspoon sea salt            0g carbs
1 tbsp egg white, beaten         0g carbs

Mix together all ingredients except the egg white. Beat egg white with a fork and measure out one tablespoon of it. Add to crust ingredients and stir until a dough comes together. Press crust into pan lined with parchment paper. Bake for 15 minutes.  Resume Magic Bars recipe above.

shultzkr01- this is the only graham cracker replacement i have found, regular graham crackers are too high.If you find another please share.
Beebs it is very easy.Just make your condensed milk and chocolate chips first and then throw it in the pan .Very easy!!
Izzet- dixie diner is offering free shipping for the next three day.I just got the email.
