Welcome aboard the FAT To Skinny journey!

It's all about limiting "net carb" consumption (Net Carbs = Total Carbs - Fiber - Sugar Alcohols).

Any food that has 4 or less grams of net carb grams per serving can be considered "low-carb".
It's important to count the servings and total net carb grams consumed per day.
This is FAR more important than where you purchase the low-carb food.

So... YES!... Dixie Diner has a bunch of good low carb products so order as you see fit.

I haven't tried making mashed jicama, the cauliflower mash is divine.  my non low carb eating friends even loved them. i make them like au gratin potatoes with bacon bits in them and cheese on top. Delish!

  thanks for repling umpa. i do have the cookbook and i have planned my meals out.i just have certain questions.do i have to get egg beaters or can i use eggs in my meals? ok this may sound crazy but i would also like to know, if there is a difference between zucchini, squash, and zucchini squash.

Fiber & dietary fiber are the same thing.  I'm not sure why not all labels read the same way, so go ahead and subtract.

egg beaters or can i use eggs in my meals? Egg beaters are actually egg whites and they say equal to 1carb per quarter cup. Whole eggs include the yolk and I count them as 1 carb per extra large or jumbo and .60 per small egg....of course I never buy small eggs   You can use either.
