Here in Canada our kitchen gadgets have both metric and standard measurements. These are the markings on mine:
1 cup = 236 ml
1/2 cup = 118 ml
1/3 cup = 79 ml
1/4 cup = 59 ml

1 Tbsp (tablespoon) = 15 ml
1 tsp (teaspoon) = 5 ml
1/2 tsp = 2.5 ml
1/4 tsp = 1.25 ml

In a recipe the shortforms are sometimes used:  1T = one tablespoon,   1t = one teaspoon

For metric recipes we usually round up one cup to 250 ml and half cup to 125 ml.

Welcome to the forum!
