First time here

Just finished Fat to Skinny.  What an eye opener. I started having health issues this past spring and learned that I have type 2 diabetes & high blood pressure.  I've tried other low carb diets but none of them explained things the way Doug did in his book.  I've tired to eat healthy and could not understand why my blood sugar would spike at times and now I know why. Thanks Doug!! I was amazed at how much sugar I have been putting in my body since I started eating "better".  I will be working on cleaning out my kitchen this weekend and filling it with healthier foods.

Welcome to the forum Frosty and to your new healthy journey! I also have type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure and both came down wonderfully in the first few weeks of eating the FTS way.  You are going to be amazed at how great you will feel once you get these two under control.  Good luck and we are looking forward to hearing updates on your healthy new life!

Welcome ,you will find how helpful Doug & Umpa really are becuase they are on this forum and answer all our questions . You dont find that to often .

I'm at 4000 foot elevation in the Smoky Mountains, been waking up to 34 degrees each morning this past week!  There's a fire in the fireplace!

Thanks everyone for the Welcome.  Doug it's OK I love snowmen and snowflakes, I live in the south so I don't really see snow all that much, other wise I'm sure I wouldn't like them so much. LOL
