izzet,

Two weeks to get back to where you were is about right.

When I blew it awhile back, during the first week I either stabilized or continued to gain weight.
The start of week 2, the weight started dropping.
And by the end of week 2, I was back to the weight I was before "carbing out".

I've read about this pattern over and over in other low-carb blogs.
It must have something to do with how sugar and insulin resistance works in our bodies.

It proves that sugars and starches are POISON to us.
When we eat some, our metabolisms go wacko and here comes the FAT!

So you are right!!!... IT'S NOT WORTH EATING THE POISONS THAT MADE US FAT!!!
What you do today is what matters!

Thank you for your comments.  This is not a common occurrence for me, actually it is the first time I've done this and it will be the last!  You are right it just made my system go wacky and was feeling very tired these last two weeks...probably system getting the garbage out.lol

izzet,

Think about it... When we put sugar back into our bodies, we must go through detoxification all over again (2 weeks)!!!  :'( :'( :'(

The only slight upside is the usual side effects with the first detoxification are much worse than those after.
But it is still not worth losing 2 WEEKS of weight loss progress for one day's poison.

So the moral of the story... We must be ever vigilant about what we put in our mouths lest we lose 2 weeks.

You are right on mouseissue and thank you for your comments Shihtzumom1.   That is precisely why I posted what I've gone through as a warning to everyone of what will happen when you say heck with it for one day...you will pay the consequences.  About the picture...It still startles me when I see my self in a reflection or a mirror and I have to take a double take. lol I still can't believe it....thanks to Doug! :)

Thanks for your honesty izzet.  Love your blog!  And you do look amazing so don't beat yourself up too much for being human.  My birthday is coming up in a few weeks, your post will remain in the back of my mind.  ;)

izzet  I agree we are human we will make mistakes . The only thing is that we just go right back to doing the right thing . I think I read on here somewhere that Doug 's weight even goes up & down a few pounds .
We are not perfect we just can never go back to that terrible sugar ,one thing is for certain it makes you feel sick so that is a helpful reminder !

Thank you Doug.  We have to be honest with ourselves about what we eat. ;) And I thought it might help someone not to make my error.

Still loosing and I told someone today at Bed Bath & Beyond about the program and she said she would check it out...maybe a new recruit! :)
Peace and blessings,

My dad and my husband have the same birthday. This year we were all together down in Florida on their birthday, so I made a key lime cheesecake (FTS recipe). It was a huge hit!

izzet I love your blog. What a great idea to take pictures along the way. That is a great way to see the progress that sometimes we just don't see. I have a birthday coming up in a couple of months and I had thought I would go crazy and have a piece of cheesecake. After reading your blog I no longer plan on doing that. Thanks for saving me two weeks of torture! :)

Make your own cheesecake sherri.I make a new york cheesecake that is so easy my grandson could make it.You just chunk everything in a bowl mix it up and bake it!Then ,heaven on a plate.I always tell people to freeze them by the slice so when you want it you just thaw it and you won't eat the whole thing in one setting. ;)If you made the umpadoodles you can do this!
