WTG Alex.  Once you get a feel of what you can eat your planning becomes easier.  I still keep a daily food diary.  It takes less than 5 minutes to plan what I am eating for the day and leave myself extra carbs for a snack if needed during the day.  I then add it up at the end of the day and just give a quick look to see if I could have cut something down or used something else to make my day lower in carbs.  That way I know for the next time I eat that particular meal what to do.  If I saw somewhere I could have cut out carbs, I usually write it in the column so I can see it if I look back to see how I made something.  It is like second nature now.  So good luck and have fun with your menu!

Thanks.. Our lives are so busy, but I cant keep using that as an excuse to do what is right for me and my family.. Creating this menu and cleaning out the pantry will be a huge help to really getting where we need to be.. Grocery shopping will be done weekly and only based on the menu. The few things that I may add is coke zero and I will get a couple of dessert recipes just for the weekends..

Thanks Umpa.. I am a planner and if I dont do it this way, I am so lost. I went to the grocery store with my list and stuck to it.. it felt so good. I told a friend of mine that if she told me what she didnt like, that I would do one for her too. She too is struggling and I am hoping that by making it easier for her now, that it will jumpstart the rest.

Just plan ahead Alex and you will be fine!!  Keep your carb count as low as possible for breakfast and lunch so you have carbs left over for a FTS friendly dessert.
