Super Bowl Stuffed Jalapenos
« on: October 18, 2010, 06:26:04 PM »

Here's another great game pleaser!

Super Bowl Stuffed Jalapenos

Ingredients

    * 12 fresh jalapeno peppers, halved lengthwise and seeded
    * 1 (8 ounce) package whipped cream cheese
    * 12 slices bacon, cut in half

Directions

   1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
   2. Stuff each jalapeno half with whipped cream cheese. Wrap a half slice of bacon around each stuffed jalapeno half.
   3. Arrange wrapped jalapeno halves in a single layer on a medium baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven 45 minutes, or until bacon is evenly browned and crisp.

For some odd reason, I find myself humming a song with the lyric... HOT, HOT, HOT!

I know that they are quite spicy (and not very hot) without the seeds.

I remember an experience I had years ago when I was removing the seeds from a bunch of them for a recipe and, without thinking, touched my left eye for a scratch... WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAH!!!  :o :o :o :o
I won't make that mistake again!

Hi mariairam,  :)

If I'm not mistaken, those peppers look like banana wax peppers.
