carb count question

Hi all!

I'm new to this diet (starting today actually) and I've been sussing out what's around in stores that is low carb. I'm in Australia so don't have access to some of the products outlined but will see what's around.

My question is how do you count carbs when the fibre is more than the total carbs?

E.g. I found some Diego's reduced carb wraps and the information says;

Carbohydrate    11.1g
 - Sugars          1.6g

Dietary Fibre     12.5g

Does this make the net carb count -1.4g?

Hi Ali, welcome to the forum! This company has already removed the fiber from total carbs. The net carbs are 11 per wrap.....way high!  :o

Welcome to the forum alli123, I have only been on the program for a few weeks and I have already lost 13 lbs. My sugars are also lower. The program works very well and you are not hungry. Keep looking for the lowest carb items you can find and stay within 20g and your body will take care of the weight and sugar issue. You are heading in the right direction.

I should have noticed the "diet" comment in your post before.

In order to be successful at permanent weight loss, you MUST put your mind in the right place.
Please remember that "FAT To Skinny" is a lifestyle and NOT a diet.

With all the wonderful and tasty low sugar foods available, you should never need to go back to your old eating habits again.

The biggest challenge is changing a lifelong lifestyle of eating too much sugar into a healthy lifelong lifestyle of low carb eating.
Others have done it!... I can do it!... You can do it!
