Im so disappointed in myself
« on: October 29, 2010, 11:57:51 AM »
:'( So I did my menu and bought everything I need it and did great the first week. Then out of nowhere I start having some issues at work with a co-worker and that set me on a stressful mode because I am obviously not stress enough (my relief of course is eating).. I ate really really bad things and of course it set me back... I have cried and cried..

I can tell how bad it was since my stomach was hurting so much.. When you start eating healthy and you go back to the junk, forget it, you really see how bad it is.

UGH, I feel like such a failure.. My hubby's work schedule finally goes back to normal starting this coming Monday and I know that will help me a lot.

WOW, talk about feeling like I committed adultery.. its an awful feeling..  :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

Oh Alex... I have been EXACTLY where you are right now.

See my post at: http://fattoskinny.net/index.php?topic=1062.msg8572#msg8572
Title: "Oh God!... Did I Blow It Yesterday!!!"
August 22, 2010.

At a time of weakness caused by (1) concern for my father-in-law's health and (2) the presence of my favorite high-sugar "poisons" present, I ate and drank things that made me FAT and sick (insulin resistance problems).

We are all human, have weaknesses, and have fallen short.
When this happens, just pick yourself up and get right back into the game.

Now I'm not saying it's OK to set yourself up to eat sugar (i.e. poison).
But life is life and if it happens, don't beat yourself up.
Use it as a learning experience and be prepared for the next time.

One other thing, after eating a bunch of sugar, your sugar detox period will start over.
It won't be as bad as the first time. But you will notice it (slow/stalled weight loss, mild headaches, mild tummy issues, etc.).

Remember this... In F2S, as in everything else, the only way to fail is to quit!
YOU CAN DO THIS ALEX!!!
WE ARE HERE TO HELP YOU MAKE IT!  :)
What you do today is what matters!

A few months from now this setback will be just a small bump on your road to success. I fell off the plan for 2 weeks early on, then got back on and caught up. Keep going - the rewards are amazing!

Alex, get organized. If you allow these people to affect you, they win. Make a decision that you are not going to allow them to effect you and you will be the WINNER!  ;D

Alex,

Remember this if you get an urge to eat sugar.
It will help you overcome the urge.

You survived... Congratulations!!! :) :) :) :) :) :) :)
You are now stronger and better equipped to handle such situations in the future.

This is my second go around >:( I really thought I had it together the first go around! Did relly well, actually lost 10lbs. Then I had my medical issue, (guess I'm useing that for a crutch, huh?) and gained it all back! I am so dissapointed in myself!! But, like Doug said, weight is temporary. I got it off once, and I am determined to get it off again!
Thanks Doug for being so understanding!

That's great Snobles, get back at it, but you forgot to add "and keep it off".  That's what we are all aiming for.  Have a good day!
