The Rock of Beeble
« on: November 11, 2010, 09:14:06 AM »
For those of you have fallen off the wagon and think I am the Rock of Beeble, let me tell you what I ate yesterday. I had a Frisch's Swiss Miss and fries for lunch and for dinner (yes I know), I had a Taco Bell  taco salad and a caramel apple empenada and smores pop tarts for a snack. Im getting ready to start my cycle and have felt like crud for several days I believe some of this has stemmed from a deep seated longing for umpadoodles and my xylitol hasnt arrived and I cant make a thing! So yes I cheated. Back on the wagon today!!!  :P

Yes, get back on the wagon Beebs!!  Go and get some SF Jello & Reddi Whip to fall back on.  I have been eating shelled pumpkin seeds when I want to nibble.  The unsalted kind I get are 2 net carbs per 1/2 cup. So 1/4 cup is enough to help me through that need.  I also have unsalted sunflower seeds that are 2 net carbs per 1/3 cup.  Again, half of that is enough to nibble on, especially if you eat them one at a time.

So get back at it, I'm sure you feel so much better when you eat properly!!  I know you can do it!

Funny thing is I was doing really well I can tell when it's coming on though.  Stupid amazon not shipping my xylitol.  :P

You are so right, beebs!

We are ALL addicted to sugar.
Although we once thought it would provide "comfort" at times, we now know what it really will do to us.

We should all plan and prepare for moments of weakness.
Those moments will come!... Sometimes when we least expect them.
How prepared we are will make all the difference in how we respond.
What you do today is what matters!

It's funny but I seem to do better if I eat lunch at McDonalds. I know that sounds crazy but I end up being happier. Beebles are funny little creatures.  :-*

No problem with McDonalds as long as you ask them to hold the bun, tortilla, ketchup, sweet relish, sauces, & desserts.

Remember the person Doug showcased last month that lost 85 lbs. eating only McDonalds foods, Andrew H. Mcminn?

If other Beebles are like you, they must be a lot of fun!  ;)

Hi Sherri!  :)

It's wonderful that we can replace and closely replicate most high carb foods out there.
That's the main reason F2S is so easy to adopt as a lifestyle.

However, McDonald's fries have always been in a class by themselves.
These things WERE one of my all time favorite foods (to SuperSize).
At times, I used to really miss them too!

I have associated them with something yucky (that I won't disclose here) so if I happen to be near them and happen to smell them, I won't be at all tempted. Now, I no longer miss them in the least no matter how close they are to me!

If there is a high-carb food out there that you find hard to resist and there is no low-carb replacement that satisfies you, practice associating that food to something that causes you to lose your appetite... I mean REALLY meditate on it EVERY time you see, smell, or think about that item. After a short time, you will no longer feel any temptation AT ALL to eat it.
This mental "association" trick really does work!

The mind is a powerful thing. The body can only serve it's needs and desires.
Use your mind to help you be successful!
What you do today is what matters!

@Doug I just can't find Jimcama in Orlando, I have tried everywhere.

@mouseissue I do that exact thing except I enjoy the smell. It no longer bothers me to be around people eating my favorites, all the sugar cravings are gone now. Yesterday I sat with my son as he ate a piece of pumpkin pie that smelled and looked wonderful. I made him describe to me what it tasted like but I wasn't dying for it by any means. It is SO NICE to be in control of myself. In 42 years I have never felt like this. I even forgot to eat one day last week and trust me that has NEVER happened before. ;)
