This IS the reason America has gotton so FAT. Back in 1941 President Roosevelt commissioned the NNC (National Nutrition Conference) to develop our basic eating plan called the basic seven......the main purpose at the time was to help Americans manage food during World War II times of rationing. It became the basic food pyramid we use today. Supporting the agriculture industry was definitely a priority as the industry was devastated by the dust bowl times of the mid and late 1930's.

Just like the "temporary income tax" imposed on us, once something is put into place it's tough to get it removed.

Our federal government is run by big business interests.
Lobbyists are in control, not the people.

If we could just find and elect folks who cared about serving the people first and special interests last, we'd have it made!

Oh Mouseissue, that is a dream that I will not see come true.. I do chuckle when people say that is not what our founding fathers had in mind, but if you look at history, its  a tad better now.. I mean after all if you called me a witch in the old days, I would be burned...

Yeah, interest of the people will never be any politicians first interest.
