Umpa hope you are having a wonderful birthday. When you get a chance I was hoping you could help me convert this recipe to be FTS friendly. I know from the post for the FTS Magic Bars that Dixie Diner makes graham cracker crumbs and someone also added a recipe on that thread to make your own graham cracker crumbs, so that is covered. I may use 1/2 SF peanut butter and 1/2 beanit butter to cut back on a few carbs. I have SF chocolate chips, so that's ok, I am not sure how much xylitol to use in place of 2 cups of icing sugar. I always loved that this is a quick and easy recipe with no baking and it always seemed that others would take these off my platter of cookies first. I'll just make a big batch of "graham cracker crumbs" ahead of time and then it will be easy to whip together.
Thanks
NO-BAKE PEANUT BUTTER BARS
Original Recipe Yield 1 - 9x13 inch pan
Ingredients
1 cup butter or margarine, melted
2 cups graham cracker crumbs
2 cups confectioners' sugar
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
2 tablespoons shortening (makes the chocolate shiney)
Directions
1. In a medium bowl, mix together the butter or margarine, graham cracker crumbs, confectioners' sugar, and 1 cup peanut butter until well blended. Press evenly into the bottom of an ungreased 9x13 inch pan.
2. In a metal bowl over simmering water, or in the microwave, melt the chocolate chips with the shortening, stirring occasionally until smooth. Spread over the prepared crust. Refrigerate for at least one hour before cutting into squares.
