Scott in Florida - 17 weeks

Down .8 this week.  Not what I would like to see every Wednesday, but for the week that included Christmas and 2 different family gatherings (translated: excuse to eat a lot of sugar), I'll take it.

Looking forward to what 2011 brings!

Thanks guys!  Yes, I am feeling pretty good these days, even though I am just shy of halfway to my goal.  I had a ring that I bought in South America a few years ago that I can no longer wear because it is too loose.  Fortunately, my wedding ring was sized for "skinny Scott" (27 years ago) so that one is fine.

I'll be feeling much better when Florida feels like Florida again - 26 degrees this morning in Safety Harbor!  There oughtta be a law...

Shawn Goble lives in Saftey Harbor, he dropped 100 pounds on FTS last year, do you know him?

No, I don't know Shawn.  But when I first noticed your book on the shelf in Barnes and Noble, I looked at the back cover and saw his story there, and thought, "Hey, that's where I live!".  I should look him up some day.  Or maybe I will just see him in town sometime - Safety Harbor is a rather small city, only about 17k people.  Have you seen him here in the forum at all?

Shawn has never been on the forum, it didn't exist during the time he was shrinking :) I started the forum on March 1st 2010 and he had already lost his weight. WOW, the forum is only 10 months old!  :o Amazing  8)

The holidays are (and always have been) a major challenge for most folks trying to lose weight.

Consider losing ANY weight during the holidays a real accomplishment.
If you can lose weight then, you can lose it anytime of year!
Keep up the good work!

I thank God I did not gain despite eating much larger portions and eating when not hungry at gatherings to be "sociable".
What you do today is what matters!
