Fell off the wagon (sort of)
« on: January 01, 2011, 07:19:57 PM »
I have spent the majority of the day today on the recipe pages and of course had to make bread, the muffins, etc.  I had to try each item I made and I think I went over the 20 net carbs allowed today :(.  Tomorrow I am going to start writing all that I eat down because I am not losing as much as I thought (being it is the first week and all) so hopefully by next week I will have lost alot more.  I am not having a problem with detox and think if I can keep carbs as low as possible and only get them through veggies I will be right on track :)

Hi G8orgirl!  :)

I keep a written record of everything I eat each day.
It has helped me MANY TIMES avoid going over 20 carbs per day.
It also helps me plan my carb intake throughout each day.

Veggies (low/no starch type) are an excellent carb source (see Doug's book for a list).

By the time I reach my goal, this will all be "automatic" for me and I will no longer keep a journal of what I eat. Up to now though, it's been a HUGE help!
What you do today is what matters!
