The pumpkin nuts are only 2 net carbs per quarter cup.  Helps the crunch/salt craving.
I'll keep plugging away here.  Where can I find more info on the detox thing?
Thanks, here's to the scale moving down!
Dear Lord,
In 2011 I wish for a thin body and a fat bank account.  Would you  please not mix them up like you did last year?
(Gotta keep smiling, right)

Hi Shari, I don't go into any detail in the book regarding sugar detox, I only make it clear that sugar is an addiction that must be broken to succeed. We have however discussed sugar detox in detail throughout the forum pages. What we have all discovered is it's light for some people and heavy for others with one common denominator....after a week to 10 days it disappears forever, well as long as you avoid eating sugar and high carbs.

I've made a note to myself to go into a bit of "detox detail" in the next rewrite due out Jan, 2012.

Shari, I was fortunate to not have any detox symptoms.  Maybe because I have type 2 diabetes and was moderatly watching my sugar intake already (although I didn't know about the hidden sugars in things).  So not everyone has detox symptoms, so just hang in there if you do.

Hi Shari,
Welcome to the forum.  Make sure you count the carbs in the radishes and other vegetables and only stick to the portion sizes.  I made the mistake of having 2 huge chef salads for lunch and dinner thinking I was okay but didn't take into account that 6 leaves of romaine lettuce totaled 1 carb.  Good luck on your journey:-)

Shari are pumpkin nuts the same as pumpkin seeds? If so I am addicted to them and they haven't effected my weight loss and I have been eating them daily since October. Love them! :)

Good if you like soy beans.

Some folks (like me) aren't big fans of soy beans per se.
But if you doctor them up with seasonings, they can be pretty good.

Last time I cooked soy beans, I boiled them in water with sea salt, garlic powder, and some Italian seasoning.
When ready to serve (beans are tender), I added more salt (don't overdo the salt), and some fresh crushed garlic and Parmesan cheese to taste.

Prepared this way, they make a pretty good side dish with an Italian main entree.

Jo are you talking about dried Edamame or fresh? The one mouse issue is talking about isn't the crunchy ones in the bag ,they are a bean type product ;)
