6 pieces of chicken (with skin and bone)
garlic powder shaker
lemon pepper shaker
6 tsp. canola or olive oil (separated by the tsp.)
1/4 c. Parmesan (optional)
Take each piece of chicken and rub 1 tsp. oil on the skin of the chicken. Repeat with the remaining 6 chicken pieces (if you are doing wings and drum sticks use half a teaspoon of oil). As you oil the chicken pieces, place them on a cookie sheet.
Sprinkle garlic powder and lemon pepper on both sides of the chicken. Make sure you put the side of the chicken that has the most skin facing up.
Lightly sprinkle Parmesan on top of all chicken pieces.
Place in a 375°F preheated oven for 45-60 minutes depending on thickness of chicken pieces. To check for doneness, pull out of the oven at 45 minutes, and using a sharp knife cut down to bone in the thickest chicken piece and check for bleeding. If it is still pink or red, cook for 15 minutes more. The chicken should be done, and crispy.
Makes 6 servings.
