I think my top 3 must haves are:

1. Blue Almond, unsweetened Almond Breeze Milk, 1 net carb per 8oz glass
2. Ole Xtreme Wellness - Whole Wheat- Tortilla Wraps- 4 net carbs, found at Kroger, must be whole wheat-all else more
3. Carbmaster lowfat yogurt from Kroger- 3 net carbs, 4 minus 1 fiber. Hope these are o.k. Use in the afternoon sometimes with 1/3 cup blueberries before I leave work so I'm not so hungery when I get home before dinner. The new flavors don't all have fiber in them, so be sure to check to be sure the ones you pick up have fiber in them.

My local grocer (Fred Meyer) is really a Kroger store.
I too LOVE the Carbmaster lowfat yogurt.

Remember to count the NET carbs and not be concerned with amount of fiber, calories, etc.

You can get fiber by eating green leafy salads and many low carb veggies.
I personally take a fiber supplement as well.
I find it keeps me regular and has a bunch of other health benefits too!

Also, you mentioned on another post about not eating egg yolks.
Until you go back to your doc and ask him/her, I wouldn't worry about them.

There is current research suggesting that egg yolks do not raise serum (blood) cholesterol.
I eat about 18 whole eggs a week and my numbers are good.
But like I said in another post, we are all different. So wait to see what your doc says.
What you do today is what matters!

Thanks for the input about the eggs, as I really like them and they fill me up and keep me from getting so hungry in between meals and what a convenient package they come in!  You can carry them anywhere without any mess!!

The yogurt and frozen berries are good too with just a little of the Reddi Whip- 1 carb on top, talk about dessert! Yummy

the 3  things i must have are as follows:

      #3- a good nights sleep
      #2- a paycheck
      #1- my family(pets included)

as a side note: obsessing over food is how we all got here to begin with.......when your hungry just eat low-carb food, stop thinking about it as some kind of ritual & think of it as fuel for your body, because that's what it is:) the other things are whats most important & are what you should be thinking about when you're gorging yourself with SUGAR:(

Gary you never cease to surprise me with your wit and wisdom...well put  8)  Now for my three favorite FTS must have foods in the house;

#1- A really good variety of cheeses, Jarlsberg, Smoked Gouda, Aged Gouda, Cheddar etc along with GG Brancrisps and sliced pepperoni, hard salami and ham.... great quick and filling snack ...crunchy and delicious

#2- Sugar free gum and hard candies. "Sweet" is something I'll never be able to shake, nor do I want too :) For me a couple of sugar free Werthers candies usually does the trick.

#3- My homemade Beef Jerky, gotta have it...in the truck, motorcycle bag, Umpa's purse...great snack anywhere any time...fills you up and satisfying.

Where do you find most of your products. I've been to health stores and grocery stores hardly anyone has any low carb or any of the brands you list.  Do you buy everything online? I'm going to go to walmart Sunday maybe they have some things there. I live in a small town there isn't much here.
Any help appreciated,
Thanks Darla

Hi Darla!  :)

We live out in the boonies.
We have one local grocery store (@ 12 miles away) and a Walmart (@ 20 miles away).

Walmart is a good bet to find quite a few SF and low carb foods.
Otherwise, if you can't find them at your local grocers, you will need to shop like we do for many things... online!

Although I have not had as much success as many of you due to an extremely difficult 2010, I have not given up.

The top three items that are always in my house are
 1. GG Bran crispbread
 2. Beanit Butter
 3. cauliflower

My son is getting married in September so now I have even more of a reason to get to my goal!

Some items are best shopped for online for 2 reasons...a wider variety and a better price.  I found GG Bran Crisps in a health food store, they were a dollar more per pack than I got them for directly  from the company on line with no shipping charge...I bought a case.  Also Walden Farms no carb products has 8.95  flat rate shipping for up to 10 cases and their entire line is available, I can only find certain items in the stores.  P.S.  It's 32 below 0 here  !!!  Didn't I read somewhere in the forum that Doug and Umpa were having a " Come on Down to Florida " open house for their dedicated followers ????? ;D

Hi Joanne,

It has been hard for me too, you are not alone.. The hardest part has been completely detoxing... I am trying but I dont think I am completely there....I have gotten to the point that I told my family that either they put their part or I will simply shop and cook for me... hahahaha its working so far....   the bad side, I still get to cook and grocery shop.. lol
