Cant & Don't want to Do it !!

OK well yesterday I thought I would try to drink 1 cup of Decaf coffee . I was mad ,sad ,hungry ,sleepy I felt like I was on a pain pill or something . I think I had every emotion there was too have . Then I got up and did it again , I got the same feeling again ,I feel asleep while Tyler was talking to me this morning LOL . & then it hit me it was the lack of coffee .
 So at 10 Am I got my 1/2 decaf & 1/2 regular coffee out made me 2 cups  I feel like I am coming out of a bad dream .

 Moral to my story is  I will not give up my coffee I will count my coffee & just have to eat 0 or low carb until supper .  I dont drink or smoke or eat sugar it will be my only guilty pleasure . Mom 1 I thought  I would rather have food like you said but I guess I would rather have coffee . I still am not sure why not having coffee made me hungry ,any thoughts ?

Hi Jo,  :)

Caffeine withdrawals will cause headaches, false feelings of hunger, and a host of other symptoms depending on the individual.

I have been a coffee drinker most all my life, and I too will not give it up.
Before FTS, I often drank coffee by the pot full (and sometimes more).
But now, I limit my intake to no more than 3 cups a day.

Doing this has not caused any withdrawals.
In fact, my nerves are far steadier than they used to be PLUS I sleep much better too!

If you limit the amount of coffee you drink, you will feel better and do better on FTS.
Remember... Too much of ANYTHING (good or not) is bad for you!
What you do today is what matters!

Thanks Tony I guess it will be ok I have 3 cups also .Its just that they are not 8 ozs .  ;D

Jo, the reason not having coffee made you hungry was physiological. It's the exact reason diets fail and the FTS lifestyle succeeds. You deprived yourself! To battle that feeling of deprivation your instincs tried to fill the void. This is why it's so important to replace everything you remove with something of better value....so you never feel deprived.

Enjoy your coffee just don't overdo it.  ;)

WHY??? would you give up coffee anyways..... its not the culprit in stalled or slow weight loss:)

 Doug you are so right even though it took me 2 mornings to figure it out . I am really slow without my coffee .

Jo if you do want to cut down on your coffee intake a little, maybe use a smaller cup.  It works with the smaller dinner plate.
