Scott in Florida - 23 weeks
« on: February 09, 2011, 07:29:37 AM »
Another week gone by, and 1.6 pounds less to carry around all day.  Inching closer to the big 50 mark.  Running continues to improve and be more enjoyable little by little, and it's going to be really great when my weight is back to what it should be.

Loaned my F2S hardcover to a co-worker yesterday, who has been doing South Beach for the past several months with very little success.  He has seen my progress and wanted to find out what I am doing.  Maybe we'll see him in here sometime.

Hope you guys all have a great Sugar Free week!

Scott

Oh, man - you're not even to the best part yet!  Chapters 23/24 and on are where the really good stuff starts!

Scott so happy to see you are still at it and sharing your FTS-I know you so happy with your success.  I have also shared with my neighbor and so excited that she is ready to get to work on her health.  She has seen the results which encouraged her!

I still have about 30lbs to loose but maintaining right now over winter. Best wishes!
Peace and blessings,

IzzeT

You're doing great Scott!  Maybe you will encourage us all to run.  I have to wait for all of the snow and ice to go away.

:o Whoa!!!...:o Running is NOT for everyone!
Running is great for you fortunate folks who have not suffered severe back (or knee) injuries in the past.

If I run for more than about 5 minutes, my lower back goes completely and painfully out and my knees are on fire!
Just some of the souvenirs the shipyard metal trades left me some 30 years ago.

I have to make do with brisk walks (which I thoroughly enjoy!) and other non-high impact activities.  ;)

Well, I had to stop running due to knee pain for about the past 15 - 20 years.  But I am running again now.  This is not weight related, although running is obviously easier when I'm lighter.  You never know when a solution will pop up that makes the seemingly impossible, possible!

Scott, I hope I live long enough to see this!  :)

Hi Umpa!  :)

I was a shipfitter.
We were the folks that assembled the ships' metal parts (hulls, bulkheads, etc.) before the welders welded them together.
