Slow down

Only 4 lbs this week. 5 week total 45lbs. Got a little discouraged with the 4 so that afternoon I hit the wellness center after minutes on the tread mill and 120 crunches I weighed again this morning and had lost 1 more pound. So I hope I can figure this right 3 days of workout and 4lbs will equal 7 lbs and I can be more excited. Hope so anyway.

"Only 4 lbs this week".  There's nothing wrong with losing 4 pounds this week Richard, I would'nt be discouraged at all.

Hi Richard,  :)

I've been living the lifestyle since August 6, 2010 and have lost a bit over 46 pounds.
If I have a "4 lb. week", I'm thrilled!!!

Don't get me wrong!
It's wonderful that your losing so quickly.
Just prepare yourself for the almost inevitable slowdown(s) ahead.

As you approach your goal, those pounds are the most stubburn for most folks.

The point is that this is a lifestyle.
If you stick to it's rules, years from now being overweight will just be a bad memory.
What you do today is what matters!

My weight loss is often 4 pounds a month. SLOW and STEADY will win the race!

The so-called "experts" say 1-2 pounds per week is the healthiest way to lose weight. Of course, we never want to hear or listen to what they have to say. I'd be happier with 4 pounds. Sounds like you're doing great, Richard.
