... It was just that Rick has been doing so well on FTS and then he gets hit with this. Chances are he hurt his back before he even started FTS and it's just now presenting itself in a furry.

Hi Rena!  :)

I hurt my back in the early 1980s at Todd Shipyard in Seattle, WA.
I thought I "recovered" fairly quickly back then (of course, I was a LOT younger).
Other than muscle relaxants from my doc at the time, no other steps were taken to address the injuries.

Then in January 2007 while working in our barn, sharp, severe back pain started in two spots in my spine.
My wife suggested I see a chiropractor.
The chiropractor said that this was the result of old back injuries that did not get chiropractic help soon after they occurred.

I am still seeing my chiropractor every month for adjustments.
The pain has completely subsided and hope to soon only need very occasional visits for minor adjustments.

Your hubby may have injured his back long ago and didn't think twice about it until the resulting pain surfaced.
