How long do you bake chayote squash and do you have to peel it?

no peeling required about ten minutes in microwave. fork holes in squash and wrap with paper towel then cook

Ok 10 minutes may have been a wee bit to much. My chayote is all shriveled up now lol!

I haven't been able to find Chayote Squash in New England (jicama either)!!

Anyone out there that has found in it in a Shaw's, Stop & Shop or Market Basket?
