Welcome to the family, MichelleShani! :) :) :) :) :) :)

The only way to reduce sodium intake is to reduce the amount of salt we eat.

Bacon is LOADED with salt.
If you are very sensitive to salt, you should eat it sparingly.

Also, watch out for prepackaged foods (especially meats).
They tend to be very high in sodium.

Don't forget to drink a LOT (at least 64 oz.) of plain water every day!
This will help flush excess sodium out of your body and expedite your weight loss.

The key to being successful with FTS, as most things in life, is moderation.
Too much of anything (even healthful things) are not good for us.
What you do today is what matters!

Hi Michelle, welcome to the family  8) Tony gave you good advice. Try and stick with fresh non processed foods for most meals. Low sodium bacon is available out there. There are also several salt replacement products out there...Mrs Dash being one of the better known products.

Welcome to the Fat to Skinny forum family MichelleShani!  I also am sensitvie to sodium.  Follow what Tony and Doug have suggested.  While reading packages I always looks at sodium as well.  I heard on a radio program that if the Daily Value % (usually the right colum on the label) is 5% or less it is low sodium.  If it is over 20% it is high sodium.  I just keep the numbers 5% and 20% in my mind and try to chose things as low as possible with sodium.

I also love bacon, but only eat it once in a while and never on the same day as deli lunchmeat which is also high in sodium.  Also increase your water intake.
