starting again & again & again....
« on: April 04, 2011, 10:53:37 PM »
So here I am again, started afresh on the 01 April....  hoping to get past day 4 this time.
I always start out on monday, then over the weekend I succumb to carb weaknesses.  Its all mind over matter and putting an end to laziness and a stop to emotional eating.
I only despise myself in the end.  After looking at all my clothes in my cupboard for motivation and really not wanting to go clothes shopping, Im more focused and determined.

Hoping to report back a weight/inch loss after a FULL week of FTS!!!  If others can do it, so can I!

Hey Vlinder, let me say this - what matters is not how many times you fall down.  What truly matters is how many times you get back up.  You have shown great resolve in not giving up!  Here you are, back at it, and determined to make it further this time.

I've been there. I've lost count of how many times I lost weight, then put it all back on.  But I came back.  I'm not resigned to a life of being overweight and miserable, and neither are you.  That's why you're here.

Set a goal to get through this first whole week.  One week will be April 8.  You can do it!  I want to see a post right here in this thread on April 8 that you made it through your first week.  Are you up for it?  Are you serious enough to do that?

Talk to you Friday the 8th!

Scott

Hi vlinder! :)

Scott, Umpa, and I are all in agreement that living this lifestyle requires a serious commitment to be successful.

Making mistakes is part of life... Don't beat yourself up over them!

Mistakes are really just opportunities to learn.
So put them to work for YOU and allow them to help you succeed!

I too am looking forward to your post this upcoming week.
What you do today is what matters!

THANK YOU!  I can't tell you how good it feels to get all your words of encouragement!  I appreciate it and look forward to reporting back on the 8th!  Its my wedding anniversary on the 9th, so it was my "little goal" to reach that 1 Whole week target and see how much I could lose for then..... baby steps and small goals will be my focus this time.  Although I obviously have a main target to reach, Im trying not to focus on the bigger picture as its to overwhelming.  Small targets at 1st to reach the bigger one!

You're right, I know what needs to be done and I know it works.  Commitment only comes from oneself....  "speak" to you all on the 8th!  ;)

Well, here I am, the morning of the 8th...
Im pleased to tell you I stuck the course for my 1st full week!  I lost 3.3lbs.  I had hoped for more like others have in loss, but it's a start  :) and I think I went over 20 carbs on a few days, so this week's focus is to be more diligent with my net carbs.

Week 2 here I come...

Great job!  But you did more than just lose 3.3 pounds.  You did something far more important than that.  You proved - PROVED - that you can do this for a week.

Now you just have to focus on one thing: Do it for one more week.

We all know you can do it.  You know it too.  Can't wait to see your results!

AND you're getting through sugar detox :) You only have 21 pounds to lose so assuming you had 23 pounds to lose at the beginning of the week and dropped 3 pounds you lost 7.5% of your FAT......pretty cool :)
