Is it Normal?
« on: April 08, 2011, 11:19:59 PM »
I rarely use the word "normal" because I seldom fall in to that category...but I am wondering if it is normal for a person's weight loss to slow way down and even stop when you are just getting going?  I have been living the life style for 6 weeks. (kinda thought I would have done better) I was just wondering because it seems everyone has lost a lot more weight before they slow down or stop.

I get discouraged sometimes because I get bored with what I am eating.  Sometimes nothing that I can eat sounds good.  So I get frustrated.  Okay I am done with my rant. :-[

Thanks for letting me vent :)

Mimzy you must have missed all my WTH is wrong post LOL . I have been struggling to get to 30 pounds and when it is you it does seem that we are the only one ! But you are not alone I dont think anybody thinks it is fast enough . We all want it RIGHT NOW (stomping feet again Doug & Umpa got to get exercise in where I can LOL ) .

But the fact of the matter is it usually something we are doing 1. sugar /carbs or sneaking in somewhere 2.eating too much sugar alcohols, 3.not counting carbs for sweetners some have carbs . (that really goes under #1)4. not getting most of your carbs from veggies and getting them from junk or 5 . which  is what I am doing   JUST EATING TOO D## MUCH !

So whatever you do DONT GIVE UP you dont have that much more to lose !!!!! Just Vent away !!!

everyone loses at different rates, but if you're not losing over a long period, then something you're doing is not right:( again the food intake log is the answer, everything you eat/drink and the amounts will reveal the problem..... bored with food???? food shouldn't be a source of enjoyment or disappointment..... that's what makes fat people fat, they make food a priority in their life and obsess over it,its just a source of fuel for the body....not to mention that the food choices are endless on the FTS lifestyle :) i have never found myself lacking choices:)
ranting is what we like to hear...lol let it all out:)

Whenever I have that slow down problem I cut back on everything and restart. Your food shouldn't be boring though, there are so many good things to eat, you should be loving it. Just watch your sugar intake, check your labels and take the sugar alcohols out for a couple weeks. Really watch those labels though. I know whenever I plateau I usually missed hidden sugar somewhere.
