Bathing Suit

I just got back from swimming in public in a cute LITTLE bathing suit! WOO HOO!

I have had to wear those ugly, skirt suits because of my weight, but most of the time I wouldn't go in at all. Today I went swimming in a black and white little polka dot "marilyn monroe" type suit and I was comfortable wearing it!! I haven't been comfortable in a bathing suit in 20 years! I am so excited!

How exciting SherriPie that you are enjoying your new life.  I hear that the heat is brutal down there right now.  Aren't you glad that you can comfortably go swimming to cool off?  That's great!!!!!!!!!

Feeling ashamed of one's appearance is not good.
I too love feeling less and less self-conscious about my weight!

I don't think I'll be ready for a speedo (like Doug) this summer.
But I know I'll feel a lot better about how I will look!

Tony you are so right ,but I have not passed the feeling ashamed yet . But maybe by next summer . I had a comment before Dougs comment that I wa going to add to but accidently removed . But what it said is I dont think I will ever be able to get into one again from all the gaining & losing I have done over the years left very flabby skin which Doug called The spoils of WAR .
  Which I thought was great but I will have to keep my spoils covered LOL  I have never had a lot of self confidence   maybe next summer when I am skinny it will change after all these years !

 But the rollercoaster now I can do that next summer Go for it Sherriepie they can  snap a pic as your going upside down on one of the loops !!!!

Going out in public in a bathing suit is a huge accomplishment, especially when you spend years feeling insecure about it.  Your husband and son must be so proud of you!  You are such an inspiration!  I was at Walmart yesterday and walked by their racks of bikinis and thought to myself it is actually possible with FTS to get in one of those skimpy get ups if I stick with my new lifestyle.  Maybe my day will come when I get to go shopping for a normal sized swimsuit.  The only bathing suit I own is a 3X.  I bought it so that I could have before pictures taken in it.  They are terrible and I have them hidden in a drawer.                                                                                                                                                                           You should go with your family and enjoy the Harry Potter rides.  Or are you waiting until you hit goal?

Woohoo!  Congrats Sherri!!!!  I'm hoping that by June this year I might be able to put on a bathing suit without being miserably uncomfortable.  Going to VEGAS! yeah!
