flaxmeal bread
« on: April 28, 2011, 12:17:39 PM »
Yesterday I made the golden flaxmeal bread and it looked good and smelled so good. When I tasted it it was not so good it had a funny taste to it. I cant figure out what I did wrong I followed the recipe exactly . Dont know what could have done wrong.

I have made the Golden Flax Seed Bread (pg. 77 in Bakery Book) and it tasted very good.  Maybe it is your flax seed meal.  It is my understanding that it must be refrigerated or it may become rancid.  The health food store where I buy it has it refrigerated and I store it in my fridge as well.  Just a thought.

Yes it is the one on page 77.The health food store where I buy it they also have it refrigerated . Made it the same day I bought the flax meal.
Will try making again.

                                                             Thank you

Taste each ingredient, the bitter one should become obvious.
