PIZZA PIZZA PIZZA Vote today: Best Low-Carb PIZZA recipe ever. What do you consider the best low carb pizza recipe you have ever made? Can be ready-made or home-made “dough”. If you had to pick only one low carb pizza recipe as the best, which one would it be?

We use CarbQuick for our dough. We haven't tried making one ourselves yet. Our favorite is to add Walden Farms Sugar Free BBQ sauce, lots of cheese, grilled chicken, and jalapenos. My other favorite pizza is green olives and pepperoni. That's a great combo.

We like Flatout Flatbread (Italian flavor) for making a crust.

Simply brush on some extra virgin olive oil and pop into a 350 degree oven for 10 minutes for a nice tasty thin crust.

We top it with Alfredo sauce, Italian sausage, diced red pepper, mozzarella cheese, and chopped green onion.
Put it back in the oven until the crust edges start to brown (about 10 more minutes).

We will split one for a very filling 4.5 carb meal!

Tony -- What's the carb count for the Flatout Flatbread? Is it large enough for more than one person?

Hee -- I guess I need to go check for myself.

The light versions have 6 net grams. I use these.
The whole grain has 8 net grams.

1/2 of one of these with low carb toppings (w/ lots of cheese) fills me up.

I like the cauliflower pizza crust recipe and with low carb pasta sauce and my favourite toppings on it.  I make it with cauliflower, mozzarella cheese, egg and Italian Seasoning.  Bake it, put my toppings on and then stick it under the broiler.

Yum - y'all are making me crave some pizza!  This is the one thing we are both having the hardest time with.  We had just recently (before FTS) been introduced to Mellow Mushroom pizza chain - OMG it was so good.  I think I am going to have to try Tony's flatout pizza recipe.  I tried making some with tortillas and a little pizza sauce;  it was horrible because the sauce tasted soooo sweet!! Yes, it was fairly low carb but bleah!  Alfredo might be a better option. ;)

Jen here is a link to a great sauce. http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Easy-Pizza-Sauce-I/Detail.aspx   I like it because I can control what goes in it.  I don't like mine to sweet either....LOL  Although the Alfredo is a great option as well.  This recipe makes quite a bit and can be stretched to even more servings for a lower carb outcome  ;)  I like that garlic is only 1 carb for a clove...LOL  Even though it says that you don't have to cook it.... I recommend that it is simmered and reduced.  It really brings out the flavors.

Oh I forgot  LOL

Tomato Paste= 20net  ( 2 Tbs = 6g carb - 2g fiber =4gnet * 5 servings = 20net) this is what is on my can
1 1/2 cups water= 0
1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil=0
2 cloves garlic, minced=2
salt to taste=0
ground black pepper to taste=0
1/2 tablespoon dried oregano
1/2 tablespoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary, crushed
I think if you use fresh it is less?
22 net for the batch.  There may be trace carbs for the spices but I'm not sure??  For 8 servings 2.75  I stretched it to 12 at 1.8 net   LOL very tasty  ;D
