Doin the happy dance!!!

OK so I went to see my doc today.  I took along the FTS book, my meal log book and a print out of my blood sugar readings from the day I started FTS.   I was so worried that he wouldn't agree with this diet and scold me for starting before talking with him first.  Boy was I ever surprised!!  He said that he already knew about this book (Thanks again Doug and Umpa!)  and that he himself had started to watch his sugar intake.  He was so excited about my numbers that he took me completely off all diabetes meds.  I was taking 2 types of pills and long acting insulin.  Now none...zip.... a BIG ZERO!!!   ;D ;D ;D ;D  He wants to wait until July to do the A1C to get the benefit of the good readings...LOL  He also told me that in another month I probably could come off the BP med as well!!   I can't tell you how excited I am.  For the first time in a long time I feel like I am in control of how I feel and my health!! 

I'm sorry for going on and on I just had to share the news with my new friends here at FTS.  Thank you all and especially Doug and Umpa.... you just don't know the change you have made in my life ;) ;)

That is great news toosweet !! Type 2 is totally reversible  ;D thanks to FTS !!!!!

Wish it was the  same for Type 1  :(

Congratulations TooSweet, but you need a happy dance to go with your happy dance! I love the fact that your doctor not only knew about FAT TO SKINNY but is also watching his sugar  ;)

That is so awesome!  Congrats!  It's so great that doctors are becoming more aware and more open to other than the same old traditional treatments!  My doctor actually suggested FTS to me!  You will be off the BP meds in no time! ;D

WOW!!!!  :o   Toosweet....this is absolutely wonderful!!!!   Congratulations!!   Way to go!    ;D   ;D   ;D

Yesterday, I actually had to do a little dance, but it wasn't happy.  I was finally able to wear a new pair of dress pants to work..with a BUTTON AND ZIPPER!  Yay!  I have been the queen of the elastic waist band for years!!!  My lesson for the day....don't wait til the last second when you have to run to the potty!  ha ha ha ha  :D

TooSweet, wonderful news!  I plan to softly mention this to my Sister In Law this weekend in hopes that she might be interested in the Fat To Skinny lifestyle.

That's awesome, TooSweet. Congratulations!

Good luck getting off your HBP meds, too. Watch it though because as I lost weight, my dosage was too high and I started having black-out spells that lasted a few seconds. I was able to lower my dose and then get off them for good. I'm so happy about that because they made me feel horrible from day one.

I understand how GREAT you feel about getting your health under control and getting off medications!
To me, there is nothing else more liberating!
It also pleases me to no end that your doctor (like mine) is also an FTS believer. ;D

By the way, you said in one of your posts in this topic;

Be careful of the words you use to describe your future.
Using phrases like "if I get down" can instill doubt when things are not going as well as we'd like.

By following the FTS rules, you WILL get down!
Leave no room for doubt about it! ;)
