Tylers low Sugar Brownies

This is zuiderdamm Almond Brownie Recipe that I changed a little and Tylers sugar is perfect after he eats theses an stays level . He has one in the morning for breakfast and one for dessert in the evening with a serving of carb smart ice cream .
 This recipe can be doubled and cooked in a 13x9 pan . Put oven on 325 instead of 350 and cook for 25 minuites instead of 15-20 if you double recipe .

1 Stick of butter
1/2 Cup cocoa
1/2-3/4 Cup xylitol (check batter for your own sweetness )
2  eggs
1tsp  Vanilla
1 TBSP  soy flour
1/2 Cup  Now almond Flour
1/2 tsp  Baking Powder
1/4 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream
1/4 tsp salt


Preheat oven to 350 ,Grease 9 inch pan .
 Mix butter & cocoa powder then add xylitol,eggs,vanilla & heavy Cream
 Beat until smooth ,add all dry ingredients .
 Pour into greased pan cook for 15-20 carbs check with toothpick inserted in center .

8  carbs for the whole recipe if your cocoa powder is 0 carbs and your almond flour is 1 carb per 1/4 cup .  They will be anywhere from .9 carbs  to 2.8 carbs per brownie depending on your ingredients and the amount of brownies you get from each pan . I hope yall enjoy them as much as he does !!!!

I made this recipe on Friday night!  I didn't double the recipe, so it only made an 8 x 8 pan size.  I had planned to make some ice cream sandwiches with some of them.....but as of this afternoon there's none left.  ::) lol

Now ya'll know I LOVE desserts.....I topped my warm brownie with vanilla carbsmart icecream, a little walden farms chocolate syrup, a little Land of Lakes whipped cream, and a sprinkle of pecan chips.   OMG....  It was like having an expensive dessert at a nice restaurant!    ;D

Jo did you use the soy flour to replace the corn starch in the original recipe?  I used xanthan gum and they seemed a bit rubbery....LOL  I even cut the amount in half as used in the other post.  Don't get me wrong they were so good.....I wondered if the soy flour might make them more cake like?  I'll try it that way next time.  Thanks for the tip!!   It's good to know that Tyler's sugar doesn't spike with this one.  Proof that it is safe to eat as far as carbs are concerned...LOL  I bet there wasn't any complaining with testing that one was there...LOL   ;)

Toosweet ,bless his heart he never complains I bet he test his sugar 10-15 times a day when he doent eat good or when I am using him for FTS LOL . I have not tried the gum stuff everytime I have heard they always say it will make it rubbery . I think Umpa & owensmath said that the soy would leave a bitter taste but they didnt in these . I am not a baker I just googled what to replace the cornstarch with and it came up soy flour or the gum stuff .

 I had soy flour so I tried it and they were VERY good so I said why mess with a good thing a brownie for 1-3 carbs depending on the stuff you use that does not raise his sugar who could ask for more .!!! ;D

 And Jan I bet you will double it next time want ya ?  :D

I feel his pain.... I test mine very often to.  I wanted to make sure I'm not messing with my sugar to much.  I will sure try the soy flour.. I agree is it isn't broken why fix it...LOL

Jo we can't use Almond Flower at my house due to my son's treenut allergies. How much soy flour would I use instead? Rena posted a pic of these yesterday and I am DYING to make them.
