Hi Jo        Bass!!!!!!!  We're Bass fishin so naturally we are eating fish. Here's a picture of fillets frying in my skilet coated with ground pork rinds. We had tarter sauce and broccoli with the fish. Mornings are bacon or sausage and eggs and lunch on the boat is a s simple as some jerky or a can of sardines  ;)  Tony, you should be doing this  ;D

Hi Doug! :)

That looks soooooooo gooooooood!!!
I've eaten fish many ways... But NO WAY beats frying them in bacon fat over an open fire.
YUMMY!!! ;D ;D ;D

The weather is getting much better around here lately.

Bass fishermen have been reporting that the bass are in pre-spawn mode and not easy to find in any numbers.
Very soon, I expect they will be near their spawning grounds in shallow areas near deep water, then look out! ;)

You girls are too cute :) We're fishing on Lake Martin about an hour south of Birmingham. Sadly our fishing trip is coming to an end. We will be heading to the cabin in the mountains of NC in a couple of days. The weather here has been hot, then cold, then perfect, now it's heading back to the mid 90's. That's too hot for me....sounds like a bowl of porridge doesn't it  8) It's in the low 70's at the cabin, I call that the "zone".

Hi Doug! :)

That sure is a dandy largie that Sherri is holding! ;D

I grew up eating largemouth bass caught from some of the US's premier bass lakes of SoCal (like Castaic Lake).
But, the best bass I've EVER eaten came from rivers or streams.

The bass I've caught in the oxbows and backwaters of the lower Columbia River we absolutely fabulous!
But my very favorite were smallmouth bass I'd caught in the Columbia River Gorge in Central Washington.
If I did not have so many chores and projects around the property this year, I'd haul my boat over there and pop a few! ;)
