These crackers look interesting.  Do you get a real stron Flax taste (husband not a big fan of Flax) or is it like wheat thin?

Hi owensmath! :)

The name of the product "Millet & Flax Plain Chips" caught my eye.
I've looked up millet flour before and remembered that it's high in net carbs... So this got me more curious!

Assuming the the ingredients list on that product link are accurate...
If you look at the top three ingredients of this product, the top 2 (by content) are VERY VERY high in net carbs!!! :o :o :o

Here's what the FDA's food database says for 1 Cup of each of them:
#1 - Millet Flour: 86.93 Totals Carbs, 4.2 grams fiber, 82.73 net carbs.
#2 - Brown Rice Flour: 120.84 Total Carbs, 7.3 grams fiber, 113.54 net carbs.

For that reason, I would NOT purchase or consume this product!

Sami's Bakery has been very trustworthy and highly recommended by Doug and Umpa. I haven't had any problems using this product.

Hi owensmath! :)

I'm sure Sami's Bakery is quite trustworthy.

The ingredient list on the link for the product may be wrong.
I would go by the ingredients list on the package since that one SHOULD by right or the FDA could come down hard on them.

I'm simply repeating the two things to watch for when reading nutrition labels:
(1) Carb count and, even more importantly, (2) the ingredients list.

It's not a matter of honesty... It's a matter of what's in the food!
What you do today is what matters!

I've lost 5 pounds in the last 2 days and each of those days, I had two of the large triangle chips. It must not be that bad.

Hi owensmath! :)

It's great to hear that you've lost 5 pounds. :) :) :)
Evidently, given your current metabolic circumstances, your body was able to shed the pounds despite eating something high in carbs.

I personally have had a couple of occasions during my FTS journey that I lost weight after unknowingly eating something high carb.
That does not mean I would get away with with it on a constant basis... That's flirting with having a complete stall out. :-\
Or worse, having to detox all over again!!! :'(

So I would suggest you proceed with EXTREME caution with those chips.
If you stall out or begin to gain, you'll know the first thing to eliminate.
