How do yall feel about Spam ?

 I LOVE SPAM...  I now use Plumrose canned ham and its 0 carbs and low fat and yummy....

Seriously? The last time I had some, I could have sworn it said 0 carbs. I'll have to check them again and maybe I can find something with zero.

spam lite when you do the math has 05 carbs for 6 thin slices .

Alex got it Rena.Its canned ham if you want a canned product thats a zero.I like to buy a fresh ham and bake it off with cloves.You have to watch labels though.I picked one up at walmart and it was 7 grams of carbs per slice!Ham  freezes well.Doug will also cook off half a turkey.we will eat it a few days make soup and freeze it in pound packages for quick meals.He usually uses his smoker.Yummy!

Umpa every fresh ham I see has carbs in it what kind do you get and where ? I have walmart & publix stores . I also can not find 50/fifty jelly  . I seen once that use the HC in the red carton from walmart . when you use 1/4 cup in a recipe do you count it as .5 carbs per T which would be 2 carbs per 1/4 cup ? JUst curious

Thanks, Umpa. I can occasionally find 0 carb ham, but it's a hunt. Walmart sometimes has it. I eat a lot of the sliced ham from Costco that's 0 carbs. It's really thin sliced and by Kirkland.

Jo -- I found a bunch of Fifty50 products at Smiths recently. I think they're sister stores with Kroger, so you might want to check there if you have them.

Jo the 50/50 jellies are a zero.You can always make your own too.Next time I go to the store I will check the brand name.I know Hormel has one.Its alittle pricey though.If you want a jam recipe let me know.I made elderberry syrup! It is so good!

I found a zero carb ham at Christmas at Publix. It's not with the regular ham it's more near the pork items. It's also smaller than a regular ham but it was really good.

Jo the ham was a blacklabel by Hormel,it is a zero.I couldn't find the other ham yesterday,but when i do I will post it.
