Pizza

Had yummy pizza last night with a small salad.  Pizza crust from the Joseph's pita (6 carbs) - hamburger, mushrooms & cheese!

Sounds yummy! I need to make pizza soon. My kids had a cheese one from Little Caesars last night and it reminded me how long it's been since I've made a low-carb one. I like chicken, BBQ sauce, and jalapenos on mine.

ETA -- Did the pizza thing tonight using Flatout bread. Thanks for the suggestion, Amber. :)

That looks so good!  I love using the Italian Light Flatout Bread-Low Carb and High Fiber with Walden's Farm marinara sauce and toppings.

LOL -- I don't think I have either!

I have some WF Alfredo Sauce, so now I've got a White Chicken Spinach pizza on my mind. :D

Yes, but not on a pizza or flatbread. Is it good that way? Is pesto low-carb?

Speaking of pizza ...

I just made one using Flatout bread. I added Walden Farms Alfredo Sauce, mozzerella cheese, fresh spinach, and chicken. It turned out really good. I could eat these every night -- ha!

Who doesn't LOVE pizza :) Searching pizza from the search bar from the home page brings up lots of great recipes. I especially liked Katary's fried cheese pizza crust, crispy and zero carbs! Here's the link- http://www.fattoskinny.net/index.php?topic=1036.0

yes Rena. Two Tablespoons is all you need for a  large pizza crust. A little goes a long way.On a tortilla or Pita cut that in half. You get a lot of  flavor. You can make your own or buy it.The pine nuts is what adds the carbs so you can make it without them using fresh basil, olive oil and parmesean or romano(or favorite italian cheese).I just bought some at HomeGoodz-Tj Maxx that is cilantro pesto.I see a mexican pizza! ;)
Use the pesto instead of sauce.

For anyone who likes Italian-style cuisine, what would cooking be without pesto?

I like to make my own with olive oil, fresh shredded basil leaves, some crushed garlic, salt, & pepper.
Combine this with some Alfredo sauce... and lookout tastebuds! :) :) :)

I even made a pizza once with some left over cod fish broken up on a Flatout flat bread (tortilla) that was covered in pesto, and Alfredo.
All topped with Romano and Mozzarella cheeses.
It was a wonderful change and fantastic!!! ;D
