My name is Rory and like many here in the forum I have tried diets and lifestyle changes throughout the years with limited and usually temporary success. On March 6, 2011, I happened to be driving to the town I work in when I heard an interview with Doug on the radio. It struck a chord within me and made instant sense. I got off at the next exit and went to Barnes & Noble where I hunted for 30 minutes and found the last copy of FTS in stock. I read the book that night and started the program the next day. In the 14 weeks since, I have lost anywhere from 1 to 8 pounds per week, averaging a little over 3 pounds. For the last month and a half I have been incorporating treadmill, eliptical, and bicycle workouts 3-4 times per week. My family has a history of high blood pressure and diabetes (I was getting borderline) and FTS has been a true miracle for me. I am definitely not a gourmet and tend to keep things very simple food wise, so eating based on carb counts makes things easy for me. I have been very careful and have not gone over my 20 gram limit yet, and don't expect to do so, as the program is very easy to follow. I use Atkins shakes and low carb bars to supplement regular meals and am very happy with the results so far. 45 pounds and 4 inches off the waist can't be wrong.
Thanks Doug for your insight and for sharing your knowledge with the rest of us.
