Scott in Florida - 42 weeks
« on: June 22, 2011, 07:42:18 AM »
My weekly Wednesday morning weigh in showed that I am down 1 pound from last week.  Losing a pound in a week is kind of boring, but I have to remind myself to put it in perspective.  I have averaged 1.65 pounds lost each week for 42 weeks.  Just string a few boring weeks together and you've got something not so boring!

My mom and a couple people at work have told me I don't need to lose any more weight.  I always respond, "I will keep going until my weight is in the double digits!"  But I can seriously lose the rest, about 10 pounds or so, and be in a normal range for me.  I really want to do that before a year goes by.  Should happen.

It's exciting to see all the other people here in this "success" category and their great stories of losing the weight.  Obviously the big story of the day is Sherripie hitting her goal of 200 pounds lost - that is simply amazing.  Like some others have said, I think it would be great to have a category here on the forum just for before and after pictures.  It would probably be the most highly-visited part of the forum!

Have a great week my friends -

Scott

Congratulations Scott! Have you posted before and after pics? I think a forum dedicated to them is a wonderful idea. Let's hope Doug and Umpa do too!

Have a great week.  :)

Yes, several weeks ago...but I would call them "before and during"  :)

Sherri - now at 201 pounds lost!  Well done!  What is your experience so far in transitioning from "losing it" to "maintaining".  For me, I picture having a "range" of acceptable weight, like 175 to 180, and being okay with fluctuations within that range.  How are you handling it?

I'm not maintaining yet...I'm going for a few more pounds lost. Then I guess I will slowly add a few more carbs in until I level out. Then I will check my weight and see how I'm doing. I want to have a few pounds to play with so I have room to figure out what I'm doing while I learn how to maintain. I suppose it too will be a learning process, but what a fun one to have to learn!!
