Yes Jo omit the 1/2 cup water. I bought the just egg white to try them last year. I made a recipe with the dried eggs and the same recipe with fresh egg whites there was no difference. :)
They are nice to have in the cupboard if you run out of eggs. ;)

Actually the just whites is the equivalent to 57 egg whites in one can so comparable in price to buying eggs and you don't have to separate them.  I love them. If you want a more uniformed look use a pastry gun/dessert decorator but don't make them too big or they will take longer to dry out.  The recipe is on the can of just whites.

1 egg = 2tsp of just whites

Hi all!  After searching 3 different stores and not finding the "Just Whites" I had a flash of brilliance!  They sell an egg protein powder in the supplement area - so after looking, I found one (NOW brand) that is just egg whites, nothing added, no flavor!  It is .9g for 1/4 cup.  I will let you all know how it works for these and probably the angel food cake too.  ;)

I just made my second batch and they were so much more airy this time-whipped a little longer.  I also used a cake decorator press and they turned out so pretty.  Was a little challenge to get them into the tube, though but I did it. lol  It made 72 cookies!

I put 1/2 tsp real vanilla and 1/2 vanilla butternut.  Can't wait to try some other flavors.

Hi Joagain....Not at all...I think they are much better but I haven't had any in a long time.  Of course everything is better when you make it  homemade.;)
