Wings
« on: July 12, 2011, 06:45:49 AM »
I made some wings the other day and the meat was falling off the bone .What I did  I boiled them for 20 minuites ,took them out and put
2 T butter
3/4 cup waldens farm BBQ
1/4 cup wing sauce

Got it hot put the wings back in got sauce on all of them then but them on the hot grill till crisp or under the broiler for a few minuites . They were easy and delish .
If you like them with more spice add mor wing sauce or hot sauce Ty likes them more sweet tasting then hot .

I will give these a try.  We occasionally go out with our kids to Pizza Hut.  They have non breaded garlic Parmesan wings that are wonderful.  These and a salad are yummy!

I love wings and often get them when we go out.  When I made them last I deep fried. Jo your recipe sounds a bit healthier.

Wings has quickly become one of my favorite thing to get lately!!  I haven't thought of using the walden farms bbq for a sauce.... thanks Jo I will try that next time I make them.  That really sounds good  ;)

Sounds great, Jo! :) :) :)
I've made these with heated WF BBQ sauce, xylitol, and Buffalo Flavored Tobasco Sauce... YUMMY!!! ;D ;D ;D

I agree with Amber... Pizza Hut's Garlic Parmesan Wings are really good too!
Just be careful as two wing pieces have 1 net carb.

Hi Jo! :)

Check their nutrition info here on page 3 of the Nutrition Information link: http://www.pizzahut.com/nutrition.html

Garlic Parmesan Wings (traditional and bone-out) are 1 net carb.
The crispy version (with dough coating) have 8 net carbs so avoid those.

My daughter works for Pizza Hut and told me that all stores use the same recipe.

I made some wings as well using the Hooters brand wing sauce that I found at Walmart.  1 carb for 1 ounce of sauce.  I baked the wings in the oven at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes (turned them half way through).  Once the wings were cooked, I placed them in a container with 1 ounce of the sauce closed the lid and shook until coated.  We really loved them.  will probably have them tonight while watching the football games.

Football and Hot Wings... Two things that were made for each other. ;D ;D ;D ;D

I bought some SF Buffalo Sandwich Sauce at Wal-Mart a couple weeks ago.
Think I'll cook up some wings too! :) :) :)
